Who else is ready for FALL?! Me! Me! Me! I am ready for cooler temps, hot cocoa, scary movies and most of all, HALLOWEEN! I despise the summer. I really do. It drains all of my energy and I just don't want to do anything. I don't want to go anywhere. I don't want to blog. I don't want to cook. Nada.
When the temps drop? Watch out, folks. I go crazy. I start cooking all my favorite foods and am super hyper and happy.
Maybe it's time to leave the desert. Ha.
So- here's a yummy brownie recipe to start your fall dreams.
Curl up in your favorite reading chair with a steaming mug of coffee/tea/cocoa/whatever, a great book (preferably a cozy mystery!) and some of these brownies.
Recipe:
Bite Size Brownies
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup butter
3 oz semi-sweet chocolate
½ tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/3 cup flour
White chocolate
In a saucepan, melt sugar, butter, and the semi-sweet chocolate over low heat, stirring until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and let cool for one minute. Blend in vanilla and the egg. Gently fold in the flour just until blended.
Spoon into small paper baking cups. Bake at 350 Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes or until set. Remove from oven and let cool. Melt white chocolate in a disposable decorating bag in the microwave. Decorate mini brownies to your preference.
How do you like to cozy up for the fall?
