Definitely be your beautiful best.
I love BB Creams. I have posted previously about my hoarding obsession with BB Creams and also about my certain holy grail of foundations. I live in Phoenix. We are dry and our heat is extreme in the summer. I don't know about you but heavy make up in the summer is not only miserable but really, it doesn't make sense because it's going to melt off and waste away. BB Creams have become quite the rage and for a good reason. These are beyond tinted moisturizers. BB Creams have added benefits to them. I won't rehash them because #1 I am not a makeup artist, a dermatologist nor am I a beauty guru but I do recommend reading up on them! The Asian BB Creams are the creme de la creme of BBs and for a good reason. However, many Western makeup makers have come forth with their lines of BB cream from high end to drug store! Some are hits and some are.... painful misses (Yeah, you know who you are!).
In comes Pond's Luminous Finish BB+ Cream.
From the package:
- Instant Luminous coverage
- Visible Dark Spot Reduction
- Tone Perfecting Complex
- Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Coverage
From their website:
- Non-Greasy, Matte finish
- Non-comedogenic
- Dermatologist Tested
- Hypoallergenic
In my opinion, GREAT attributes in a beauty product!
They come in a 1.5 FL. OZ. Tube. I think that's a generous size and for only $10.99 on Amazon, a great price point!
As for range of colors, very minimal and comes in Light and Medium.
I am extremely fair. Fair as in glow-in-the-dark. I put the Medium on my hand and you can see it's not a nice shade of color and enough of a contrast against my skin. I hope it's helpful in seeing the color for somebody who is needing a medium shade.
|
Flash Off. Sorry, I had a hard time getting a good angle to show the contrast.

My opinion: This is definitely a luminous finish! It was a very beautiful, lightweight coverage and I didn't feel like I was wearing a heavy foundation. It falls in between (on how it feels in regards to heaviness on your skin) Missha's Perfect Cover (semi heavy) and Tarte's BB Creame (very, very light weight). I actually like this BB Cream. It lasted long enough (not all day), not a full coverage (between a light to medium coverage) and my skin didn't feel irritated. I, again, liked this BB cream. I can see wearing it again!
Now for the fun part!

Hey entering. :)Have a great new week.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Have a great new week, too! (PS I love that "New Week", I think I'll use it!)
DeleteI am verrrrrrry fair as well. I am basically like a ghost. I used to tan in the summer but I decided to try and avoid that whole skin cancer stuff and stick to the shade. In the summer, I try to keep it light and easy- minimal makeup (if any) and simple as well... I recently tried my first BB cream as well and I liked it- it's nice for the summer when you don't want to lay it on too thick. I entered the giveaway as well :) email is adifferentkindofplan@gmail.com
ReplyDeletethanks!!
Yay! Another glow in the dark fair girl! Haha. I tried tanning but I could never get much in the way of color. Good luck!
DeleteI am Asian and I am not sure which shade would be best. I will go with fair since its easier to darken up if I need to go darker. Thanks! xjaypeezy@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteHi! I am Asian and I am not sure which color shade would work best. Probably fair... tha medium looks too dark. but the fair also seems too light. Oh well, its better to go light. I can always darken it with bronzer. Thanks! xjaypeezy@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteMy beauty routine is pretty much the same year around. I do switch out foundations from time to time just because I do love trying new products ie my obsession with make up. Lol! I've been getting into BB creams this summer because they do feel so much lighter on my face and besides the heat in Texas is brutal. Thanks for the giveaway! :)

ReplyDeletesunni.side_cyndie@yahoo.com -sorry I got carried away with my comment lol.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to the BB and now the CC creams- I am SO confused! So, what happens is, I get overwhelmed, and the face suffers. Now that Ponds came out with one-might make it easier. Grandma swore by Ponds and when she passed two years ago at the age of 93, I swear, as did others, she looked early seventies! Luckily, I have her genes and people think I am early thirties...I had a birthday two weeks ago, turning 49! (Thanks Grandma!)
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to try this and even if I don't win, your review has helped me alot- thanks for the flashlight, I am no longer completely in the dark now!

Also, I have a fledgling blog and will come back and grab your button!
I don't really have a different beauty routine for the summer. I like to switch it up every once in a while...but nothing too different!

I keep it simple with mineral foundation, mascara, and lip gloss. Sometimes I will do my eyes with eyeshadow.

ReplyDeleteI don't do much... Coconut oil is my go-to for just about everything...I use it on my face and all over my body for moisturization. I even use it in my hair as a deep conditioner to keep it nice and shiny!
ReplyDeleteOops...I forgot to leave my email!! nicolegriesmer@yahoo.com Sorry!!! :)

Thanks :)
Interesting! I might pick this up.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have much of a routine...at 39 I am still trying to learn what and how to use. Most days though I at least wash my face, put on foundation, powder, eye liner, mascara and lip gloss. Most nights I remember to take it all off before bed...would love to learn more things to do and products to use.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

I try to wear as little makeup as possible, lol (at least in the summer because I sweat). I'm looking for a good light foundation though, and this looks great.

My routine is the same in the summer as in the winter except I only wear eyeliner and mascara. If I go somewhere nice I wear it all. Plus I use a moisturizer every night.
ReplyDeletemimilovesall8@yahoo.com
I make sure to use spf everday, moisturize with a combo of argan oil and coconut oil. I make sure to remove my makeup at the end of the day. I treat myself to a scrub or sheet mask once a week.

Sadly I don't have much of one. Wash my face morning and night. Morning use moisturizer with sunscreen. Evenings, cleanse with apple cider vinegar astringent.

ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about this BB cream!
ReplyDeleteI've heard good stuff about this bb cream!
ReplyDeleteI'd certainly be interested to try this stuff! I have oily skin, so a luminous finish is a little intimidating, but hey - maybe it would be really great! In any case, I'd love to try the Light shade. Thanks for doing a fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm super pale, too, so it's sometimes difficult to find a good BB cream!
ReplyDeleteI'm really pale, too, so sometimes it's hard to find a BB cream in the right shade! I've seen this at Walmart and from a glance, I think Light would be the one I'd get, but I haven't gotten the chance.
ReplyDeleteI use a moisturizer with SPF 15 in it.
