How do you define beauty? Is it being aesthetically beautiful or is it being a beautiful person?
Admittedly, when I was younger I thought being beautiful meant looking like the women in the magazines. The perfectly toned abs, the gorgeous faces and luxurious hair.
My definition of beauty has definitely changed. Being beautiful is inside and out. We've all heard various versions but essentially, if a person isn't beautiful on the inside- their external beauty is negated by them being a horrible person. It's very true!
I've learned to work on my mind, my body and my soul. I have learned to love who I am- all my quirks and faults. I love also taking care of myself and that does include a beauty routine to take care of myself.
Every Sunday is my day to indulge in myself.
I don't have a tub but if I did, I would take a bubble bath but I do take a long shower.
I do a deep cleansing of my hair and follow with deep conditioning. I use Suave's Moroccan Infusion shampoo and the Deep Conditioning Shine Mask is my favorite! I have very long hair (it's to my waist) because I can't decide what I want to do with it and since it's so long, I have to take care of it so it won't look unhealthy.
I also use a sugar scrub for my body to polish my skin and give it a nice glow and follow up with a rich shea body lotion.
I do a facial mask, my eyebrows and my nails.
I deep moisturize my feet and put on socks.
I am ready for the week.
I also try to live beautifully by giving my daughter as normal a life as possible and we try to pay it forward!
