When Emma was born, I remember being careful on how I took care of her skin. She is like me with being super fair skinned and having to be careful with fabrics and soap. We had a nightly ritual with her baths and always made sure she was moisturized and all her clothes were washed with Dreft. I wanted to keep life as simple to prevent overstimulating her senses. It worked. She was super calm and easy going. She's not quite that way any longer but... you know, traumatic brain injuries can do that to you but she's still a sweet girl.
Ever since Em was a baby and using Dreft, I always gift new moms with a bottle of Dreft! Of course, formulas have grown over the years to have stages and scent boosters (which smell AHHHHH-MAZING!) but at the end of the day, I trust Dreft. It's an old faithful product for me and I still use it on our bedding and undergarments.
Pediatrician, Dr Ryan Hes (and a mother!) provides great tips to protect baby's skin during spring allergy season (heck, these tips work for US adults and our older kids, too!). Some fantastic tips are "load up on liquids" (aka- stay hydrated!) and use the right fabrics and care for them properly! Gentle and hypoallergenic are best for baby and help decrease skin irritations!
