Review: My Staycation Box. Experience the world without leaving your house

Right at this moment, my friend is living it up in Ireland while I pine away here in Arizona.  She has sent me some selfies in front of castles.  Yep, I am totally jealous right now.  In a good way, not a mean way.

Eventually, I do plan to travel outside of the United States but not until my daughter is older and more independent but in the meantime, I can still experience the world at home thanks to My Staycation Box!  I did receive this box for review purposes but my opinions are own, as always.

My Staycation Box is really a great concept.  Think of those who can't travel- elderly, ill, financially unable to, etc.- this is a wonderful bit of the world delivered to their doorstep.   However, this isn't just for those who can't travel- it's just a fun box for anyone who loves discovering new items from the various corners of the world.

Each box focuses on one destination.  The box I received focused on Ireland (perfect, right?!).  While my friend is physically in Ireland, I am there in spirit!

What's in this fabulous box?

Something for each sense- something to taste, smell, touch, see, and hear.

Of course, each box comes with a card that helps to guide you with each item!

Let's explore Ireland

Taste of Ireland

My box contained a package of Guinness (sweetttt!) chips and Barry's Tea!

In Ireland, they aren't called potato chips- they're called crisps and these crisps are incredible.  If you're a fan of Ireland's famous Guinness beer, you'll LOVE these chips! (you can get some from Burts' website- www.burtschips.com)

Tea is a must have.  We all know that tea time is a part of the English culture but it is also a big deal in Ireland.  The teas included in the box are from Barry's Tea, a staple of Ireland.  This is my first time experiencing their tea and it definitely won't be the last.  (order from www.englishteastore.com)

Music of Ireland

Included was a CD for the High Kings and what a treat it is! My only experience with Irish music was Celtic Woman and it's no wonder I fell in love with this CD since they are associated with Celtic Woman, it's easy to see why I enjoyed this CD.  Their music style is Irish Folk and it made me feel like I was enjoying time in a pub (or at least, that's what I would think it was like ha!).  I played this CD while I was relaxing on my patio, enjoying the evening and sipping my tea.

Speaking of pubs....

This candle is awesome.  The aroma is a nice scent of barley and hops which is supposed to give the sensation of being in a pub.  I thought this was such a nice addition!  I am a sucker for candles!

If you are a card game player, you will appreciate these cards.  Each card has a stunning image of Ireland on it.  I love playing card games- especially Rummy and Solitaire.  These just make it better to look at the cards!
