I love a good latte. Chai latte. Green tea latte. Caramel mocha latte. Yep. I do love a good latte.
I have been interested in Matcha green tea and I did purchase a container of tropical matcha green tea from Trader Joe's and it was putrid. It was cloyingly sweet and kind of ruined the taste. Of course, I want to try Matcha again because of its positive benefits. It's known for healthy antioxidants, energy boosting and all the extra benefits like improved metabolism, skin, hair and nails. We all known that we need more antioxidants in our bodies!
I was given a chance to try Kiss Me Organics' Organic Matcha Culinary Grade Green Tea Powder and I was really excited. With the powder, I was also given a recipe book and that was really interesting. You can make so many different things with the powder! You can make anything from savory to sweet dishes. A small amount of the powder goes a long ways. I opted to try a latte (obviously!). It only takes 1 tsp of matcha powder, 1 tsp of agave syrup, 1/4 cup of hot water and 3/4 cup of milk and bam! You have a latte. I, unfortunately, was out of agave syrup but used organic sugar. I only had cow's milk but I think next time, I will make it with almond or soy milk. Overall, the taste was perfect (even better than the coffee shop's green tea lattes) and I hope to eventually try some of the recipes!
