Owlcrate Review: June Royalty Box

Oh Owlcrate how you appeal to my YA loving heart.   I am pretty excited about the contents of the June box and am really excited to review & reveal it for you.

WAIT until you find out what's in July's box.  Oh my nerdy soul is so happy!

Owlcrate Review

This Owlcrate review is not sponsored and is purchase by me - in all my nerdy glory and has some affiliate/referral links contained within.

Owlcrate is a YA themed monthly subscription box that contains one newly published and highly anticipated young adult book, and 3-5 bookish goodies. Each month is themed and honestly? They rock.

June is not my first box from Owlcrate but it is my first time finally reviewing said box.  As I posted about Muse Monthly, I found out about Owlcrate in the same Buzzfeed Listicle.  (Thanks again, Buzzfeed) and I have been BLOWN away by the contents each month.

As said above, each month is themed and June's was Royalty.

Pretty exciting, right? Especially if you are like me and love reading historical fiction books and watching historical fiction movies & TV Programs (Yes, Wolf Hall- I am looking at you!)

Each box is loaded and packed well.  Unfortunately, I get a little TOO excited and disturb the packing before taking a photo.  I'm a kid.

This month's book is "My Lady Jane" :

My Lady Jane. Owlcrate Review

Synopsis:

The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about.Jane gets to be Queen of England.

Like that could go wrong.

A little Tudor action is right up my alley- so I know I will be happy with it.  The reviews have all been positive! What I love is that in the plastic sleeve, there's a letter from the author that gives another perspective of why the story was written.

As said above, each box comes loaded with bookish goodies!

Craftedvan

Okay. How killer are these magnetic royalty bookmarks? Adorable!!! I am in looove.  These came from CraftedVan and their designs are incredible.  I found a few I *need* to buy!

Owlcrate Funko Merida

Who doesn't love Funko? I know, they're like the Beanie Babies of this generation but... much cooler and I like these (never was a fan of Beanie Babies).  I am SO pleased with receiving Disney's Merida from Brave.  She's BEAUTIFUL and she has her freckles on the figurine.  LOVE!!!!

How gorgeous is this bracelet from Rich Love Shoppe? It's Cinderella inspired and so pretty.  I took a look at her Etsy shop and her products are gorgeous!

This beautiful card is created by Evie Bookish (look for her designs on Society6 as Evie Seo and use this link to save $10. Trust me, you will need it once you see all her other designs) .  I love the pretty prints they send in each box and Evie always has lovely designs.

Each box is $29.99 + shipping and is well worth it.
