I've been trying to find ways to save money so I can achieve a few financial goals. I am really trying to focus on my debt and get it all paid down so I can buy a home (either a townhome or a patio home) next year. I follow quite a few coupon bloggers and I am always impressed by how much they save! As much as I am inspired by them... I am just not organized enough to clip coupons and organize with sales. I have been looking at ways to coupon along without the time suck that is coupon clipping and Walgreens' paperless coupons helps me save!
The Walgreens app makes it REALLY easy to not only refill your prescriptions but to organize your shopping list based on the weekly ad AND clip coupons to your balance rewards card!
It's really easy to clip manufacturer coupons to your card. You click on "Weekly Ad and Coupons", browse coupons and you touch where it says "clip to card" and it literally clips the coupon your card (just make sure you have linked your rewards card with the app!). As you can see on the top of my screen shot, I have 12 coupons clipped with an estimated savings of $18.00. No need to carry around coupons or getting to the store and realizing your forgot the coupons at home! I love it! When you check out, you either scan your rewards card or enter your phone number and bam! the ecoupons are instantly redeemed.
Awesome.
On my last trip, I was able to save $5.00 just from ecoupons!
Emma's at the age where she needs to start taking care of her skin, so I picked up some "Say Yes to" face wipes ($2.00 off ecoupon!), St Ives spray lotion ($2.00 off!) and some Suave Professionals conditioner ($1.00 off ecoupon). $5 savings. Woot Woot.
I have been working with Emma on taking care of her hygiene and with her disabilities, I think that teaching her to wash her face with cleansing cloths would be a good start for her.
I've decided that for each dollar I save shopping for necessities, I will add the amount of savings to a credit card (or other debt). So... I just added an extra $5.00 to one of my credit card payments!
Have you used ecoupons?
What would you do with the savings?
